TNI Searching for Missing Helicopter in Papua since June

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The TNI Air Force lost contact with one of its helicopters on June 2019. The Air Force last had contact with the MI-17 when the helicopter, which was carrying 12 people on board, was flying in Papua.
Kodam XVII Cenderawasih spokesman Lt. Col. Eko Daryanto said they are searching for the helicopter, but so far there has been no significant result.
The search for helicopter, which lost contact during a flight from Oksibil to Sentani, involved civil flights, especially those serving the missing MI-17 routes.
"The search will continue until the helicopter is found," Lt. Col. Eko told Antara on Monday, August 12.
Separately. Lt. Col Inf. Hendry Ginting from Danyon 725/WRG said that the helicopter disappeared with dive members of his infantry who were assigned in Okbibab Post at Mount Bintang Regency.
